Visibility Isn’t Vanity. It’s Strategy.

I’ve come to realize something: it is essential to understand how things work, even if you don’t subscribe to that way of doing things. At the very least, understand the “why,” and you can tweak your engagement to suit your personality.
So, now that that’s out of the way, I want to talk about how just doing the work is sometimes not enough.
You might not be into social media. You might be too busy to tweet, post, or talk about what you do. You’re focused on the work — and that’s admirable.
But here’s the truth: if people can’t see you, hear you, or experience your impact, they can’t form an opinion of you. And in today’s world, perception drives opportunity.
Na only God dey see the heart. Every other person sees a video, a tweet, hears a podcast, hears about you from someone, or sees something that you have done.
If you’ve already cracked the visibility code, maybe you’ve got legacy, privilege, or a powerful network behind you. That’s great. But for the rest of us, visibility is how we scale influence, build trust, and open doors.
And suppose you want to convert people at scale or grow your influence. In that case, there is a story that has to be going round — either created by you or someone who cares about you (either because you are paying them, you inspire them, or they have something they want to get from you. Yes, selfish reasons sef dey or they even hate you sef).
So whether you’re documenting your journey, sharing your wins, or letting others tell your story — be intentional. Because silence isn’t humility. It could be a missed opportunity.
Create your own path. Use the tools available. And let the world see what you’re building.
Selah.
